QUILT SHOW CHALLENGE 2008

May we have the envelope, please!

Our Quilt Show Challenge:  Interested members selected envelopes containing 3 (three, un, deux, trois) paint chips consisting of  3 (three, un, deux, trois) different colours.  Some envelopes had the 3 primary colours; red, blue and yellow.  Others had shades and tints of the same colour.  Only these 3 colours may be used in fabric so this was a push for almost every one "outside the box"!

Guidelines:

June 25, 2008 - Bring Challenge Quilt for Show and Tell to Guild Meeting

  • Maximum size - 100" around.  In other words 25" x 25" or 15" x 35" or 2" x 96" or whatever dimensions total to a maximum of 100" around the project.

  • Minimum size - None!

  • Three colours are allowed and those are the colours on your paint chips.  Please try to stay as close as you can to the colours as shown on the paint chips.  If you find a fabric that is close to one of your colours and it has another colour in it you can use it ONLY if the fabric 'reads' as your challenge colour.

  • You must match the paint chips when choosing your fabric but you can use other colours of thread or embellishments
