Parklane Homes approached the Langley Quilters' Guild to research and make quilts symbolic of 1910. Their plans are to build a farmhouse in their Bedford Landing - Fort Langley development and decorate it in 1910 fashion.
Sewing bees were set up and the committee, led by Nora F., completed the tops, using reproductive fabrics, for 4 quilts of varying sizes suitable for a young family. Quilt patterns chosen were Variable Scrappy Star in kingsize, Sunbonnet Sue for girl's room, and Chinese Coin & Bowtie for boys bunkbeds. A cradle quilt and pillow shams were also made.
The quilts were machine quilted by Louise M. and Nora F.
