Olympic Challenge 2010

The Laurentian Quilters’ Guild proposes the following challenge to be completed by April 1, 2009 in time for exhibiting in Quebec by May 1, 2009. Any questions can be sent to kkiel60@yahoo.ca.

The following rules are to be adhered to:

1) The perimeter of the quilt must be no less than 125 inches and no larger than 160 inches, with a width of no more than 42 inches. 2) The quilt must depict the winter Olympics.3) The quilt must include the 5 Olympic colors (yellow, green, blue, red, and black). 4) The quilt must be completed and ready to exhibit in Quebec by May 1, 2009. 5) Any technique will be accepted. 6) Each quilt must include the standard 3 layers. 7) Each quilt must have a 5 inch sleeve for hanging. 8) Each quilt must have a label.

Arrangements for transportation and any expenses for insurance will be the responsibility of each guild participating in the challenge.

There will be no jury, prize or classification. This project is only for the pleasure of participation and is aimed at building a link with our fellow Canadians.
