Upcoming Workshops

Brookswood Senior Centre has recently clarified their membership requirements to us. These are not new rules but, as they say, the same ones in effect since 1980. The rules state that whenever a guest uses BSC more than 3 times in one calendar year, the guest must become a member of BSC. Many of the LQG members are already members of other groups that are active at BSC, eg. Sew'n Sews or similar groups. If you are NOT currently a member of BSC or if you do not keep your membership current, you are considered a guest.

How does this affect LQG? Our Christmas Party and all of our Workshops are scheduled there each year. If you attend these events, you are subject to a maximum of 3 single day visits per year. Beyond that you will be required to get a membership with BSC at a fee of $30/year.

The LQG and the BeWops Committee will be responsible for monitoring attendance. You will be advised when you are at your 3rd visit as a result of guild sponsored events. The decision is then yours as to whether or not you wish to join BSC in order to attend future guild events. Attendance lists at all of our events will be provided to BSC to ensure compliance and to keep their insurance valid.
