3 French Hens Tree at Langley Centennial Museum

FrenchHenTree FrenchHenTreeTopper

The 12 Days of Christmas Trees are all decorated at the Langley Centennial Museum in Fort Langley and are on display over the Christmas season. Our guild members decorated the 3 French Hens Tree with over a hundred handmade ornaments of Hens, Eiffel towers, spools, French colours, etc. This is a tree display you shouldn't miss. And while you are there, you can vote on the best decorated tree.

Langley Quilters Visit Women's Institute

The Women's Institute held a social meeting last week at the Abbotsford Best Western with approx. 35-40 members attending. The Ladies were interested in hearing about quilting, and invited members of the guild to attend to talk about the different ways quilts are made. Appliqué, pieced, hand & machine embroidered quilts were shown. Many were very interested in placemats and smaller projects they can learn to make to add to their own craft sales.
The W.I. supports many things in our community: Willoughby Hall, preemie bonnets to LMH, and bursaries for students.
One member knew of recipients of some of the quilts donated by LQG, and expressed appreciation of this. The visit to their meeting was a wonderful experience... sharing and promoting quilting.
